NCC Award Ceremony at Vidhyashram International School

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) training is imparted in our students by our cadets to grow discipline, honesty, secularism and patriotism in our students; wedded to the national cause transcending all barriers of caste, creed and language. The NCC camps organized by Vidhyashram makes it the best school in Jodhpur because NCC provides many benefits for the students. NCC is open to all the school and college students on a voluntary basis. The candidates are given basic military training in small arms and parades.

Aim Of NCC

1. The primary aim of NCC is to develop character, discipline, comradeship, secular outlook, leadership, ideals of selfless service and a spirit of adventure amongst the youth of the country.
   
2. To provide a suitable environment for the youth and motivate them to take up a career in the armed forces.
   
3. To create a human resource of trained, organised and motivated youth.
   
4. To provide leadership in all spheres of life and be always available for the service of the nation.

What Training Does NCC Provide to its Cadets?

• Candidates are trained in shooting, drilling, physical fitness, map reading, first aid, camp training and sailing.
  
• Out of the entire training period, every candidate of junior and senior division must undergo service training for a minimum period of 75% of total hours during the school session.
  
• Every cadet during the training year has to attend an annual training camp of 14 days in the case of senior division and 10 days in the case of a junior division.

NCC does not help in improving the overall personality of the candidates but also gives the preference to the candidates while being selected for a job in the future.

On Thursday, Vidhyashram International School organised a special program in which Colonel M.S. Group Commander, NCC Jodhpur, was presented with the Guard of Honour. Notably, from 1st-8th March, a special training camp was organized in the school under the guidance of Hitesh Rajendra Neve, Associate NCC Officer. Various activities like aero models were presented with the other NCC activities in the school. Students were actively participating and practising these activities for past many days. All the staff made a well-planned arrangement for this program, and the Principal Dr Bharti Swamy and group captain Nishant Sharma, Co 4 Raj Air Sqn NCC, welcomed Guard of Honor, colonel M.S. Mahar to the program.
