In Conversation with – Shubham Sharma – Alumni of 2012
I am Shubham Sharma, an alumnus of Vidhyashram, 2012 batch. I am a Chartered accountant by profession in an FMCG company based in Gurgaon. Firstly, I would love to congratulate the school for completing the 19 glorious years in the excellence of education. Vidhyashram provided us with a conducive learning environment, trained us on soft skills, and I feel these two aspects are very important for the holistic growth of the students. We had excellent teachers and administration who provided us with abundant knowledge, guidance and support. I want to congratulate our Principal ma’am, for managing the school so well and helping the students in every way possible. To the students, I want to convey that they should work hard and have fun simultaneously because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity; once these beautiful days are gone, they won’t come back.
- Our school encouraged us to learn from our mistakes and never repeat them again.
- We were encouraged to work together to create our own rules and look after the classroom, which helped us become socially responsible and care for one another.
- Our teachers worked positively to handle the students who misbehaved. Being supportive at that time can restore children from misbehaving.
- Teachers are enthusiastic about learning new things and applying new teaching methods while teaching, making it easy for each student to understand.
Our school taught us to prioritize relationships. A school is also the first place where we start expressing our emotions that we never previously understood. We make friends, we share our problems, and we feel attached to people. When you have secured relationships, you feel supported, and you’ll learn more effectively. Vidhyashram comes under the top 10 schools in Jodhpur as it provides a great learning environment. The teachers work very hard to create a positive school climate with plenty of opportunities to grow together.
Vidhyashram emphasizes on critical thinking and helps students to develop skills to face the future, making it one of the best schools in Jodhpur. Students need to learn more than just sitting and memorizing a lot of information that they can easily Google. Our school taught broader concepts and gave a deeper understanding of how to problem-solve and think critically.
Our school principal, Dr Bharti Swami, creates a core value system that the entire staff shares. She has a proper involvement with the teachers and staff, and they all work towards a student-centric education. Whenever a major decision is made, they first think, “What’s best for the students?” When everyone shares this belief, the school can focus on the business of teaching.
Kids cannot grow without the parents’ involvement, and it is the school’s job to pull parents in and make them understand what they can do. Our school conducts regular PTMs to involve parents in the progress of their child. When parents are involved, the students behave and perform better. Thankfully our school has worked amazingly on this parameter also, which helped me be a better individual.
