SMILE-O-THON

Vidhyashram School in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jodhpur, Midtown participated enthusiastically in Smile-O-Thon, a dream walk to showcase concepts, ideas, and innovations promoting Jodhpur as a green city. The walkathon, of about 5 km was flagged off on Sunday morning from Umaid Bhawan Palace at about 6.30 am to circuit house and back where our students, under the supervision of their teachers, walked with some renowned personalities of town along with various other schools, colleges, institutions, NGO’s, business organizations and several others who believe in such causes. The event began with the address of its jury members, which included some celebrated doctors, who spoke about the benefits of being active and leading healthy life style. The participants were greeted with live band and children realized the benefits of rising early and going out for walks.
Vidhyashram has always been the forerunner in promoting such social causes and this time joined hands with Smile Train, the world’s leading NGO, providing free cleft surgery and care to children throughout India and the world.
