Campaign of Water Conservation

Campaign of Water Conservation

Rotary Club of Jodhpur Padmini launched their new campaign of Water Conservation in association with Welcom Hotel Jodhpur by ITC on Tuesday 9th May.

The chief guest, Member of Parliament Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and his wife Smt Naunad Shekhawat unveiled the theme JITNI PYAAS UTNI GLASS, to create awareness that every drop of water counts.

The president of Rotary Club of Jodhpur Padmini, Rotarian Vaishali Saand welcomed the honourable guests and introduced the concept of the campaign JITNI PYAAS UTNI GLASS.

At hotel tables, often waiters serve water to the guests even when it isn’t required, thereby wasting it. This little attempt of Rotary Padmini is to create awareness amongst both, the guests and the waiters that every drop of water counts, and wastage should be stopped.

Over 30 leading Hoteliers, Restauranteurs and Event Organisers of Jodhpur have come forward and pledged their support in this endeavour. All of them were given personalised Table Talkers and Posters with the message JITNI PYAAS UTNI GLASS for placing on their tables to spread awareness, and certificates of appreciation for joining hands with Rotary Club of Jodhpur Padmini.

A small video presentation was also screened to stress upon the the issue. The student members of the Interact Clubs of Vidhyashram International School put up musical performances to show the significance of water conservation.

Several eminent senior citizens of Jodhpur graced this occasion, blessed us and appreciated our endeavour.

Mrs. Naunad Shekhawat has very graciously agreed to become a member of Rotary Club of Jodhpur Padmini. We welcome her into the Padmini family.
